Needles and threads are flying....

We met today and discussed our latest quilting efforts.. We are sewing the last of our Halloween fabrics and look forward to hearing your comments.  Bright and cheery with yellows, oranges, blues, reds and black will soon decorate our Facebook page and our website on Funky Finds.   These quilts will make great table toppers, lap quilts and toddler snuggle blankets.  We know that you will enjoy seeing our version of Halloween..

A little information regarding: Longarm Quilting
Longarm quilting is the process by which a longarm sewing machine is used to sew together a quilt top, quilt batting and quilt backing into a finished quilt. The longarm sewing machine typically ranges from 10 to 14 feet in length (or, 3metres to 4.25 metres). One typically consists of an industrial sewing machine, a 10 to 14-foot table, and several rollers on which the fabric layers are placed.

Getting started...

This is the first of our Blog and we hope to keep you entertained and returning for updates.  We are 3 best friends who share a love of quilting, piecing and showcasing our finished quilts.  On this blog you will see first hand our process and how we are able to turn a simple piece of 100% cotton fabric into a beautiful work of art.

Whether you are looking to purchase a hand crafted quilt for yourself or a friend, this is the blog to keep marked as a favorite.

We are looking currently at Halloween fabrics for baby and lap quilts. These are fun, bright and user friendly holiday quilts.  Surely, the envy of your friends, these are quilts to throw on the back of a chair, couch or spread out for nap time..

Enjoy!
